UPSC strikes off Puja Khedkar’s name from IAS, bars her permanently from all exams.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has cancelled the provisional candidature of IAS Probationary Officer Puja Khedkar and has permanently barred her from all future examinations/selections, as per an official announcement today.
Puja Khedkar has been in the eye of the storm for alleged misuse of power and manipulating disability and OBC quotas.
Puja allegedly submitted fake disability and Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates to clear the civil services exam.
Khedkar is said to have recurrently failed to appear for mandatory medical tests to confirm her disability, despite having qualified for IAS in the ‘Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)’ category.
Puja Khedkar is also reportedly involved in another discrepancy where in she used two different names – Khedkar Puja Deeliprao and Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar.
However, in her 2022 service allocation by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC), where she was selected for IAS, she went by the name Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar under the PwBD-multiple disabilities (MD) category.
First fake disability certificate, a fake ration card on a fake address, etc, master manipulations by fake IAS Officer.
The move came after the UPSC scrutinised available records of Puja Khedkar and found her guilty of violating the Civil Services Examinations-2022 (CSE-2022), and a show cause notice issued to her on July 18.
Among other things, the show cause notice had sought her response for fraudulently availing attempts beyond the permissible limits provided for the CSE by faking her identity and has also lodged an FIR against her with the Delhi Police.
